The Recumbent

Second from The Roaches, this time a head lying in the grass. If you can see it then we're on the same wavelength.

Sculpted

There will be a few of these, pictures from 'The Roaches', gritstone remainders in the Peak District. It's another one of those things where some people will see more than others, the shapes becoming faces or whatever. Look carefully and your emotions will show you what's there.

Border Walls

I do like a drystone wall, such a lovely sight and such great craftsmanship. It's sad when they fall into disrepair but I suppose the need to enclose is less now that once it was.

What's the story?

Someone knows how and why this wreck ended up here but there's probably plenty more assumptions and stories made up by those who don't. They may be more exciting but whatever, let the tales be told.

Essence of a Friesian cow

A good walk isn't just hoping you know where you're going and wishing to find what you're seeking, it's about the pieces along the way that you can never plan for. A little innocuous remain of a sign in a field, but one that had the colour and pattern of a Friesian cow, to me.
